I was born and raised in Minnesota and graduated with a degree in Finance and Accounting from the University of Minnesota. I have lived in Albuquerque since 1980 and had a long career as a Finance Manager with Honeywell and then General Electric. Upon retirement, I volunteered with several organizations such as NM Tax Help, and have been a long-standing member of the Board of Directors and Treasurer at an Early Childhood Center in Downtown Albuquerque.
I have served as DPBC Treasurer and Finance Committee Chair for the past two years. During that time, the financial position of DPBC has improved, which enabled us to hold several voter engagement events and contributed to the success of our Democratic Candidates. The Finance Committee has worked closely with our Ward Chairs on financial matters, and participation in the Ward Grant Program increased.
Going forward, my priorities as Treasurer will continue to be accuracy of all financial reporting, clear communication and analysis of financial reports, and engagement with Ward and Precinct Chairs on all financial matters.
