Find Your Path to Protect People and Reduce Harm

The third strategy to manage wellbeing in a difficult time and preserving energy for the good fight ahead. (273 words, 1 minute)

Good morning, Bernalillo County Democrats,

If you return to last week’s edition of the Blue Review, I shared a couple of beginning strategies to manage wellbeing in a difficult time and preserving energy for the good fight ahead.

The third strategy:

  1. Find your path to protect people and reduce harm.

We know that vulnerable communities are being targeted by the far right, and we’re likely feeling compelled to step up and help. There are many paths to doing just that. Some will protest, some will work to protect Democratic institutions (elections, the EPA, etc.), some will work to build alternative, parallel institutions, some will work to create a new culture.

Here, in the DPBC, we’re doing all of those, and more. Join our movement! There’s important work to do and we want you to be a part of it.

The 2025–2027 term elections for Ward Chair, Precinct Chair, County Central Committee, State Central Committee, and more, are coming up in February and March! There are many paths for participation and we invite you to find yours.

Look for the official call to the County elections to come in next week’s Blue Review, and if you have communities of people who are feeling as concerned or passionate about the state of our country as you are, please invite them to participate by sharing this newsletter with them. Join us. Together, we’ll harness the power of our community!

Looking ahead,
Marisol Enriquez
Chair, DPBC
