DAFGPIC

Daniel Alfredo Francis Garcia is a proud Duke Cityan — a Burqueño born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. On his father’s side, his roots trace back to La Plaza del Señor San José de los Duranes and Torreón in Torrance County. On his mother’s side, his heritage extends to Santo Domingo Pueblo in Sandoval County and Pueblo Pintado in McKinley County.

With deep cultural and familial ties to communities across the state, Daniel brings a strong sense of identity, service, and dedication to his work in politics and community advocacy.

He currently serves as the Secretary of the Young Democrats of New Mexico, where he has helped revitalize youth political engagement across the state. Notably, Daniel played a key role in founding the Young Democrats of Doña Ana County and helped lead organizing efforts that contributed to the successful election of the caucus’s Vice President in 2024. His work has expanded the caucus’s reach and built stronger connections between rural, urban, and tribal communities.

Daniel previously served as a Precinct Chair within the Democratic Party of Bernalillo County, and continues to support the county party in vital roles such as Newsletter Tech and Zoom Scheduling Coordinator, ensuring effective communication and digital coordination across party operations.

Beyond politics, Daniel is deeply committed to cultural and historical preservation. He serves as a Member-at-Large Board Member of the New Mexico Genealogical Society and as Public Relations Board Member for the Primas y Primos Memorial Planning Committee, honoring and uplifting the stories of families and ancestors across generations. He is also a proud member of the Knights of Columbus, reflecting his commitment to faith, service, and community.

In 2024, Daniel was elected as a delegate from New Mexico’s First Congressional District (CD-1), proudly representing both his home state and the Young Democrats of New Mexico Caucus at the national level.
