My name is Eric A. Valdez, and I am honored to serve as the Second Vice Chair of the Democratic Party of Bernalillo County. I was born and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I graduated from the University of New Mexico in 2017 with a degree in political science and a degree in communication. I graduated from the University of New Mexico School of Law in 2020.

I am a proud Democrat. I strongly support the preservation of our constitutional federal republic, the protection of immigrant rights, the protection of LGBT+ rights, and the protection of the working class. Mere words cannot begin to adequately describe how important it is that we support the working class. May we always remember that the working class is the backbone of the United States of America.

 

We must protect: our immigrant communities, confront racial injustice, confront injustice targeting the LGBT+ community, ensure access to universal healthcare, raise the minimum wage, strengthen workers’ rights, expand access to affordable housing, and protect the environment.

 

As the Second Vice Chair of Bernalillo County, my primary goal is to work tirelessly to ensure that Bernalillo County remains blue. I greatly look forward to making sure that this takes place.
