Rio Grande Indivisible Meeting—With Mason Graham of Common Cause and Hal Gershenson, RGI member and liaison with Blue CD2 New Mexico

Everyone is welcome to our monthly meeting of Rio Grande Indivisible on Tuesday, September 15^th from 5:45-7:45 at the Los Duranes Community Center in the North Valley, 2920 Leopoldo Rd. NW

Mason Graham is the policy director of Common Cause and he will speak about election issues heading into the 2026 midterms, particularly efforts by the Trump administration to restrict voting access. Given Common Cause’s work on voting rights, election protection, and government accountability, we will learn about current efforts to keep our elections free and secure.  Our members have expressed concern about the Trump administration’s efforts to collect voter files from NM and appreciate Common Cause’s efforts.  We want to support those efforts to ensure a free and safe election.

Hal Gershenson will speak about Blue Cd2 which is a group of volunteers who work together to help keep New Mexico’s 2nd Congressional District blue.  He will tell us about the current efforts to re-elect Congressman Gabe Vasquez, and the down ballot candidates in the district.  This will include presenting opportunities for volunteer actions.
