Our Democracy depends on civic and political participation. Our Constitution demands it in its opening statement “We the People”. To those to whom we entrust our sovereign power, we expect in return honesty and integrity, dedication and courage and a clarity of purpose and obligation. These are traits we cultivate and value among our family, friends and associates. We should demand the same and expect no less of our elected representatives.
