Third Thursday 2020 Virtual Holiday Celebration: You’re Invited!
Mark your calendar for the DPBC Third Thursday Holiday Party and program on December 17, 2020 from 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm. To be held via Zoom, the virtual program promises political leaders, games, and a vision for 2021. To join, visit us on Facebook (a Facebook login is not required) or use this Zoom link to attend.
Lieutenant Governor Howie Morales, State Auditor Brian Colón, Bernalillo County Clerk Linda Stover, and State Senator Antoinette Sedillo López will join DPBC vice-chair Manny Crespin to host the party. We’ll celebrate victories in the election, offer “crystal ball” predictions for 2021, and share favorite recipes, and toast the coming year.
Organizers encourage those attending to email baby photos (for a “guess the Democrat context”), favorite holiday recipes, toasts, and favorite holiday scenes ahead of Thursday’s event. Send yours to email@example.com, and DPBC vice-chair Crespin will organize and share them with the group on the Zoom call.
The celebration’s sponsors — DPBC, the New Mexico Black Caucus, and the Adelante Progressive Caucus – will be encouraging donations to several organizations through the Zoom party. APS Adopt A Family, ABQ Rescue Mission, All Faiths, Barrett Foundation, Crossroads for Women, Heading Home Sponsor a Family, PB&J Family Services Adopt a Family, Hopeworks, Valencia Center for Domestic Violence, and United Way all seek donations of specific items needed in the winter, as well as financial support. For more information, contact Manny Crespin.
